Fitness, not so much

I really do enjoy exercising sometimes, and I had set some goals to do SOME amount of exercise every day… but I have been SOOO lazy about it. I don’t know, it’s just easier and more relaxing to not have to get up and move around. LOL.

Patrick and I were going to do some workouts together at home, some P90X videos (which we have heard is hard – like BootCamp x 10 according to my pal and fitness instructor, Kristin Calpino, whose husband just completed the program and now is just like the infomercial examples) and we were GOING to take our bikes out for rides this summer, and go hiking with the dogs. Where did the summer go? Our weekends have been filled with visits with friends, shopping, events, all kinds of fun good stuff but no working out. I am active sometimes, but not consistently, and that is the toughest part for me, is sticking to a regular regimen. I mean, geez – 30 minutes of treadmill in my own house, how hard can it be to make time for that and just run upstairs and take a shower afterwards? I have no excuse, really.

Let’s start with my stats for today… and a month from now, see how they change if I make some changes to my lifestyle, like cutting out junk food and fast food and eating healthy, along with working out or doing some form of activity every day on a regular basis, at least 30 minutes a day. I know I waste at least 30 minutes a day just playing around on the internet!

Current stats:
Height: 5′ 1.5″
Weight: 125 lbs (Wednesday, 11:30 p.m.)
Last time I checked my body fat percentage, it was last November and it was around 22 or 23%. I’d like to get that number down to maybe 18 or 19%. And maybe I’ll get more accurate body fat measured at the gym sometime… maybe.
Waist: I’m going to guess… approx. 28″ You’re going DOWN, waist!

And I keep meaning to post pics of my plants and non-plants. Not only am I lazy about fitness, updating this blog, and my book club reading, I’m really lazy about uploading pictures. But I’ll get to those in the next entry, I promise! Patrick has taken some really great shots of some flowers I’ve cut from the garden with his fancy schmancy camera so I’m excited to be able to post those soon.
