Unpaid Graphic Designer

I am a very happy graphic artist. I really do enjoy doing design work. I even do it for fun, can you believe it?! The thing is though, that when you are a moderately successful graphic designer people you know like to ask you for favors. It is a very accurate estimation that more than 50% of the work I do is for free. I mean what other career path does this happen in. Nitaya is a great engineer and no one ever ask her “Hey you make great bridges and I have this creek in my backyard that could really use a great bridge, whatya think? i came across this image today on the Internet and it is a perfect illustration of what I mean.
